Many make it a tradition to hit the stores over the holiday weekend.
We get to do it together, we get to eat out, we hang out, just laugh and we just have a great time. We do it every year, we're getting excited.
While having fun, the Better Business Bureau wants to remind people to be smart when you buy.
You may want to check those return and refund policies when you buy, especially if the recipient ends up not being able to use it for whatever reason.
BBB officials say also check the Black Friday ads you see this week for the fine print.
Now, some folks prefer cyber deals you can scour from home, but you have to be careful.
It's a good idea to use a credit card if you're shopping online. You may say I don't want to run up that bill but you may have some extra protections if something goes wrong.
