ENGLISH TRANSCRIPT

-Now, Keanu, one of your earliest roles on screen was a Coca-cola commercial. What do you remember about shooting that particular commercial?

-I had to play a cyclist.

-Right.

-Who is like, you know, a young kid. My father is my coach. It's a big race. You know what? They actually have -- you might see in the commercial ? they had some like Ukrainian guys, the evil, like the villain cyclists and so it's like about me with my dad.

-Who's your coach?

-My dad.

It was like a three-day shoot. For me, it was a great experience because you're going from school and from study to the real world, to practical. So it was like hitting marks.

It was -- we had to improv some scenes and pretend it was hot but we were filming in the winter.

It was real world working experience and, um --.

-It?s a fantastic commercial?

-The cyclists were good. The camaraderie of making the movie. The cyclists pushing me up the hill like, ?You can do it, kid!? ...Shaving my legs.

-You shaved your legs for this commercial?

-Yeah! Because I'm playing a cyclist.

- Well, it?s a fantastic commercial.

-Being in a tub for the first time, shaving my legs.

-I gotta tell you, it was all totally worth it because let's take a look at the very commercial we're talking about.

-Oh no!

[ music ]

-         Go! Go! I?m proud of you, really proud.

-         A coke!

-Who's your coach?

-My dad.

[ cheering and applause ]

-         I got chills. I got actual chills. Chills.

Ha-ha-ha.

-Three days?

-Three days!

Ha-ha.

>> That was the 13 second version, there?s the minute version.

-There's a feature length, yeah, there?s a feature length.

-And I also went through that thing like, you know, when they have that line at the end, of coke, it was -- I had to drink so many coca-colas and like -- but I had that thing with the director where it's like, ?ok, you're thirsty, you?re dying. You?re on an island. You're on a desert island.

You haven't had anything to drink!?

For me to take

-         Ok, a coke.

?No, that?s not it? and then he went to kind of like r-rated, then it got x-rated. Yeah, was pretty funny.

PORTUGUESE TRANSLATION

? Raspar minhas pernas.

-Você raspou as pernas para este comercial?

-Sim!

(ofensivo). Sim, foi bem engraçado.
